About the Craftworker's Forum
 The Forum, from its inception in 2005, under the auspices of Cork County Council Office of Community & Enterprise, brings together craftspeople from all over County Cork and provides them with support, marketing and promotion opportunities. It includes craftspeople who are already members of the various Networks and Guilds as well as individual members.
Forum members must be registered with Craft Council of Ireland, must work in the county, making their crafted work themselves (rather than importing) and meet minimum quality criteria. We receive support from Cork County Council and both East and West Cork Leader groups. Since 2005 the Forum has grown significantly. Last year, it published the County Cork Craft Guide, with the support from the Council and Leader. This year, it has developed a substantial website. While continuing to receive County Council support, it is now effectively independent with its own management committee, financial structure and controls. There are several substantial projects planned for 2007, which include production of a new Cork Craft Guide for 2007. The first project taken on by the Forum was the commissioning of a feasibility study aimed at establishing a craft officer for the county. The Feasibility Study has now been completed and is available, for CPCF members, to read on our web site (see Appendix xxx) Plans for 2007: January 19th AGM - all members/associate members and those interested in becoming members are invited to attend.
