James believes his passion for Life Size Sculpture is a direct result of exposure at college. He studied at the City and Guilds of London Art school where he attained a degree in Historical Wood carving. He has an abiding interest in the great classical Italian sculptors through out history. From the outset he became ‘almost infatuated by the powerful realism and energy’ their work still posseses today. While he is most definetly informed by the work of ‘The Great Masters’James’ own pieces have destintive characteristics that make them Uniquely His.
