After working as a designer decorator for several years in the US Martha Cashman returned to Cork to study at CSN and CIT Crawford College of Art and received a BA in Ceramic Design and Arts Facilitation she works part time as an Arts Facilitator. Taking her influences from the local environment and the elders who worked the land and their stories. Working mainly in porcelain and mixed media her work has received several awards and has been selected for many exhibition such as Sculpture in Context, Rathfarnham Castle, Mill Cove Gallery, Blarney Castle and the Internationa Biennale in Portneuf Canada opening in June’11.
